Charity

These are some of the charities I believe in and have donated to myself. Metavivor because so little research is funded for Stage 4 breast cancer. The Florida Wildlife Sanctuary is where I volunteer.

Metavivor

METAvivor is dedicated to the specific fight for women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. At the time of METAvivor’s founding, no organization was dedicated to funding research for the disease and no patient groups were speaking out about the dearth of stage 4 cancer research.  While more and more people have taken up the cry for more stage 4 research, METAvivor remains the sole US organization dedicated to awarding annual stage 4 breast cancer research.

METAvivor is led by volunteers, most of whom are living with metastatic breast cancer. We work to obtain grants and corporate sponsors to support our operational expenses. This allows us to ensure that donations can be entirely dedicated to our research grants that fund the cutting-edge research that will ultimately save lives. Unless otherwise specified by the donor, 100% of every donation and 100% of proceeds from every fundraiser (after event expenses) go into our research grants.

Florida Wildlife Hospital

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release
Since 1973, Florida Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary (FWH) has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned animals in Brevard County.

Located in Palm Shores, Florida, FWH is available 365 days a year to admit wildlife patients. We care for more than 5,000 patients per year. There is never a charge for animal care but we receive no state or federal funding. FWH is the only facility of its kind in the area and provides immeasurable and critical value to the community and to the lives of the wildlife cared for at our facility. Since most of the wild animals brought to our clinic suffer from injuries or problems caused by humans, we not only aim to help animals in need but to educate the public on how they can reduce their impact on local wildlife.

Join Us in Our Mission to Save Wildlife!
There are many ways you can partner with FWH to save wildlife in our community. Florida Wildlife Hospital and Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 charity. Your donations directly impact the animals in our care. The average length of stay at our facility is 28 days with an approximate cost of $75.00 per animal. Your support is crucial to our mission.
